GA Project — How It Works

Every street lamp’s bulb is systematically identified with a discreet identification number (ID).  These IDs are used to determine which color of bulb is assigned and used at that location.  A random number is assigned for each ID to determine the assigned color using Random.org.’s random number generator.  This random number ID assignment is designed to achieve the following:

  • Each Location will generally be unique
  • The color of each bulb will be determined to provide a “gum-ball machine like” randomness color.
